Perhaps the biggest game of the regular season for the Denver Nuggets and Dallas Mavericks takes place on Monday night (8:35 p.m. ET, NBA TV).
These two teams are locked in a battle for the second seed in the Western Conference and the winner of this game on Monday gets a huge leg up in that race. The Mavericks may have the edge since Denver had to play last night in Orlando.

The Mavericks are coming off a rout of Golden State on Saturday night as rookie guard Rodrigue Beaubois poured in 40 points.

Shawn Marion, Caron Butler and Dirk Nowitzki also scored in double figures in the win over Golden State. The intensity level goes up on Monday against Denver.
“We are a veteran team and we are all trying to get ready for the NBA playoffs,” Marion said.
