Betting roundup: Big week for the books

Monday started off well for the house as the Saints covered and went under. The fact that the Saints covered New England teasers and New England in the second half made it a clean sweep for the books, one of the few Monday games books have broomed all year.
I’m going to skip baskets for now; it is safe to say Billy You-know-who is having a party as always this time of year, just try and control him. If I listed all of his bets for the week I would run out of memory.
Thursday rolled around with another win (but small) for the house as the Jets won (bad for the house) but the game stayed under, which helped. Oregon State covering was OK, the total was bad; and Arkansas State winning to go with an under was a wash. All said, it was a push around day for the books.
Friday was good for the house as underdog Ohio covered and the game stayed under to help the books make a few bucks.
Saturday was a mixed bag. The players won with West Virginia, Louisiana Tech, Cincy (middle with some books), and Wisconsin. The house countered with South Florida, Fresno, Washington and the big game – no, not Florida – East Carolina made the books the most money of the day. The Gator game was close, and as far as action is concerned, it didn’t matter much who won.
Sunday was one of the best days of the season for the house so far. The Raiders beating Pittsburgh knocked out all the 13-point teasers to get the ball rolling. Miami covering against the Pats was also big for the house. The house also knocked out the sharps on Tampa Bay as Carolina luckily covered the 6.
In the late games, the Giants and the Seahawks made the house very happy and the Sunday Nighter was a no decision. So all in all, it was a very good week to be a bookmaker for football betting.
Good luck players; talk to you next week!
